Accessibility

This site is built to be usable by people using screen readers, keyboards, magnification and high-contrast modes. Where that has been measured, this page says what was measured.

What was done

  • Color contrast is measured against every surface a color actually sits on — the page background, the warm and cool panels, the dark bands and the brand fill — not just against white. Body text runs at 18.88:1; the link color meets WCAG 2.1 AA on every light surface it is used on; text on dark bands is white or a light warm neutral measured at 7:1 or better.
  • The brand color is not used for body text. Sevadar’s orange measures 3.73:1 on white, which passes AA only for large text. It is used for fills, rules and the logo. A darker variant of the same hue is used for links.
  • Heading levels do not skip. Every page runs h1 → h2 → h3 in order.
  • Every image carries a real alt description, and decorative marks are marked as decorative rather than described twice.
  • Keyboard focus is always visible — a three-pixel outline with an offset, in a color chosen per surface so it stays visible on dark bands.
  • Nothing on this site transforms text a human wrote. Words appear in the case they were written in, which matters to screen readers that pronounce all-caps text as initialisms.
  • Text can be resized and the layout reflows; nothing depends on a fixed pixel width.

Standard

The target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is a target and a practice, not a certification, and this page does not claim conformance the site has not been independently audited for. Where something falls short we would rather hear about it than not.
