What We Are Not

A list of things this foundation is not, written because each one has been assumed at least once.

Not a medical provider

Sevadar Foundation Inc. does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or advise anyone about their care. It holds no clinical license, employs no one to give you medical advice through this website, and has no patients. Nothing on sevadar.org is medical advice and nothing here should be used to make a decision about your health.

Clinical care is delivered by the programs, under their own names and their own licensure. If you need care, go to Valor Medica. If you are in a medical emergency, call 911. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.

Not a clinic and not a hospital

There is no waiting room at 4477 Woodson Rd, Suite 203. It is an office. Walking in will not get you seen by a clinician.

Not a regulator, an inspector or a government agency

CareGuard is listed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality as a Patient Safety Organization. Listed is not the same as employed by, deputized by, or endorsed by. A PSO is a private organization operating under a federal statute; it does not issue citations, levy fines, revoke licenses or conduct state survey.

If you need a regulator, you need your state survey agency, your long-term care ombudsman, or Adult Protective Services — and CareGuard’s own site says so on the page for the people most likely to need it. The official routes.

Not a referral service

The foundation does not recommend nursing homes, does not maintain a preferred-provider list, and does not receive anything of value for sending a person or a facility anywhere. If it ever did, that would appear on the independence page before it appeared anywhere else.

Not Valor Villages

Valor Villages Inc. is a separate 501(c)(3) with its own EIN, its own leadership and its own board. Valor Medica is described as its medical arm and the two organizations work together, but neither controls the other and a gift to one is not a gift to the other. The full distinction →

And not currently fundraising

As of August 2026, Sevadar Foundation has been funded entirely by its founder. It runs no fundraising campaign, employs no fundraisers and pays no one a commission on a gift.

You will not find a donation button on this site. What to do if you want to help anyway →
