Sevadar Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity and gifts to it are tax deductible. It is also not asking you for one.
There is no giving form on this page and no payment processor behind it. That is a decision, not an oversight, and the reasoning is below.
The status, so you have it
- Legal name: Sevadar Foundation Inc.
- EIN: 93-2840861
- Federal status: 501(c)(3), exempt from federal income tax, effective August 10, 2023
- Public charity classification: Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi)
- Contributions: deductible under IRC Section 170, to the extent allowed by law
- Accounting period: ends December 31
All of it comes from the IRS determination letter dated August 29, 2023. The letter, line by line →
Why there is no button
As of August 2026, Sevadar Foundation has been funded entirely by its founder. It runs no fundraising campaign, employs no fundraisers and pays no one a commission on a gift.
A foundation that has never needed outside money has not earned the right to ask for it in the abstract. Putting a processor on this page would mean building the apparatus of fundraising — the appeals, the urgency, the suggested tiers, the follow-up — around an organization that does not currently need any of it. So the apparatus is not here.
What is here instead is a phone number and a person who will answer honest questions about where money would go and what it would change. If that conversation ends in a gift, the foundation is set up to receive it properly. If it ends in you deciding to give somewhere else, that is a fine outcome too.
If you want to help
- Start with a conversation. Call (314) 852-5500 or use the contact form. Say what you are interested in.
- Consider the programs directly. The programs run their own operations and their own sites. See the three programs.
- Consider giving your attention instead. The most useful thing most people can do for a nursing home resident is visit one, in person, at an odd hour. That costs nothing and it is worth more than most gifts.
